With the school holidays upon us it is important to make the most of the time we share as a family. It’s great that we can get away on holidays - but there is so much to see and do right on our doorstep that day trips should not be discounted.
After all what better way to spend a sunny weekend throughout the school holidays than taking a short trip to some of the most exciting and innovative attractions in the UK – all right here in the Midlands. There are places to visit for children of all ages and so much to do.Of course there is no reason why children need be bored at home whilst parents have to work either. A great idea is to enrol them in a fun packed, action filled summer scheme such as the ones offered by Aspire in Sutton Coldfield.
Whatever your plans for the holidays are enjoy!
West midlands safari And leisure park
This is certainly one of the Midlands top destinations and offers fantastic value for money. It is targeted at family entertainment and visitors get the chance to drive through the Safari Park, see some of the worlds largest and most exotic creatures close up and even the opportunity to feed them.

Warwick Castle
Bursting to the towers with tales of treachery and torture, passion and power and above all fascinating people, times and events, Warwick Castle is so much more than simply a castle. Experience preparations for battle, feel the weight of a sword and get a soldier’s eye view from beneath a battle helmet. See lavishly decorated state rooms, watch as a household prepares for a Victorian party and discover how electricity was generated over 100 years ago to light up the castle.
