Rich colour in just 10 minutes

Simon John, Sutton Coldfield, was the first in the country to launch schwarzkopf’s new igora 10 colour system. Simon John Hair was given the igora 10 colour system, the only professional 10 minute permanent colour system. Not only is it fantastic for re-growth but it also covers 100% grey.
Salon owner Simon Matthews explains: “We are seeing an increase in clients with life styles that are just too busy. Sometimes they don’t want to or can’t sit in a salon for two hours at a time. With this system the colour only takes 10 minutes to develop, allowing the client to have a colour during a lunch break or on their way home from work. “
The models we used were Janet Gale and Jenny Goold. Jenny has two young children, a full time job and has just returned from a holiday in Zante. She leads a busy life looking after her children and working. She has just returned from a two week break in the sun and the effects of this and chlorine have taken their toll on her hair.
Simon explains: For good colour coverage with the igora 10 colour application, clean precise sections must be taken. The stylist needs to be organized to get an even colour especially as the colour is developing as soon as it is applied. That’s why this procedure isn’t recommended for home use. Jenny’s hair looked faded and washed out so we applied a dark brown through the fringe and side section and a deep red through the top and back. The result as you can see is a fantastic contrast of colour that has replenished Jenny’s colour and made it vibrant and glossy. All done in twenty minutes from application to rinsing and conditioning.

Janet’s hair was long and had no shape or style. A new look was required! After consultation Janet and Claire decided on a sharp concaved bob. Jan’s stylist, Claire Crawford from the Four Oaks salon explains: “We applied igora 10 to lift Janet’s colour and the base line was cut using diagonal sections starting from the nape. This was followed by shaping the sides and sliced cutting to achieve textured layers. The hair was blowdried to finish the new look.
